Background: Raised to be the empress's guard since birth, fighting for the crown is all he really knows. Battle prowess in the war before the territories around the city were taken brought him up in rank to captain.

As a child he was actually inept at the sword, not truly learning it until he actually went to war. There he threw away his childish naivety and became a man in the eyes of his father and the rest of the old guardsmen. It didn't pass the notice of the empress, who quickly raised him to a commander status in the war.

After the territories were taken, He continued in a secret cell for a while outside the city in an effort to win some territory back. Endry called the strike team Poisoned Thorn. Although they failed, they located some Loyalists, those loyal to the Empress and her crown, in outlying towns and holds. For this, he received the rank of Captain, pretty much her royal Highness' second in command when it came to war.

Two months after they spirited away the empress, Endry returned to Highbirth, incognito and recruiting loyalists to fight oppression. He plans to reinstate Poisoned Thorn.

Background: Archmage of the Highbirth Mage's Guild. Fromerly High Mage of the World Mage Council (WMC). Stepped down two years previous.

Jonah is cousin to the Empress, though he is an unacknowledged bastard child. He began his youth contrary to his current profession, a bladesman in the Emperial Army. At age 16, he accidentally burned someone to death using Mage's Fire. Thankfully, it was the enemy. Since then, he began training as a mage and quickly rose up in the ranks.

Loyalist through and through, he joined the Loyalists at the Bloody Blade shortly after finding their existence.
